Stanford Valley

In 2005, a 440 hectare property near Hermanus in the Western Cape was identified as the ideal location for establishing a Centre for Sustainability, Farming and Technology. The original 9 founding members rapidly increased to 46 participating members and the vision now seeks to incorporate Holistic Management and Permaculture, with focus on Organic Food Growing, Soil Regeneration, Alien Clearing and Indigenous Tree Planting, Animal Husbandry for Land Restoration, EcoBuilding Methods, Energy Generation, Water Conservation, Fynbos Preservation, and Waste Management.

Stanford Valley offers a Guest Farm and Retreat Centre, with exquisite onsite accommodation and conferencing facilities, self-catering or fully serviced.
