Offset Your Carbon Footprint
In partnership with Platbos Reforestation Project, Freewheeling invites you to calculate your own carbon footprint and offset it with indigenous tree-planting. Click here for more.
Corporate Freewheeling
In partnership with WWF-SA and Cambridge University’s Programme for Sustainability Leadership, Freewheeling plans to hold a 2-day event for Business Leaders at Stanford Valley just prior to the Freewheeling Festival.
Urban Activities
In addition to the annual Festival held at Stanford Valley Guest Farm, Freewheeling offers shorter, urban-based activities including the launch of the collaborative generosity movement in July 2009 – with punchy, short-talks and video clips.
Local Economic Development
The role that Freewheeling currently plays in local community development includes collaborative engagement with the Stanford Housing Development Co-operative and other sustainability initiatives, exemplifying our intention to both protect natural resources and assist in the socioeconomic improvement of the broader community and region.
Youth as Emerging Leaders
Emerging leaders are a key focus of Freewheeling’s attention. Youth are assisted through sponsorship to participate fully in the Festival and other learning events, bringing their voice and vision to shape the future.
